We fulfill our mission by providing programming in five core areas:

Education and Career Development

We enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.  Throughout the school year, our Club focuses on homework first. During Power Hour, members are given help with their homework.   If they do not have homework they are given skill building exercises to assist them in becoming better students.  In the Technology Center ClubTech and SkillTech are used to teach our members how to use a computer and gain the understanding needed to stay abreast of fast moving technology in our world today.  This allows youth to pursue their interests in technology into the future as they grow.

Character and Leadership

This area empowers youth to support and influence their club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a self image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and other's culturally diverse background.

Health and Life Skills

Programs in this area develop young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors, like setting personal goals, and good decision making, that nurture their well-being and help them live successfully as self-sufficient adults. The Club uses programs such as: Smart Moves, Smart Girls, and Passport to Manhood to teach healthy and active lifestyle practices to our youth.

Sports, Fitness, and Recreation

This area focuses on developing fitness, positive use of leisure of time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.  We utilize activites that foster good sportsmanship and team building skills.

Arts

This area enables youth to develop creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.  The Club uses activities and field trips to expose youth to the many facets of the arts and their impact on our culture.
